This week has been a manga week! Yes, I've read two mangas yesterday and one manga a while ago. Currently, I'm reading another manga. So basically, I could say it's manga week!
WHAT I READ
ひるなかの流星, Hirunaka no Ryuusei

This is a story about a girl who experiences first love--with her homeroom teacher. She is from the countryside and living in Tokyo is new to her. She has no friends except the dark haired stranger she met who turned out to be her homeroom teacher. Eventually, she became friends with the foul-mouthed idol and the quiet guy who blushes easily around girls in her class.

(House of the Sun)
What’s a young child to do when her mother leaves her father for another man? Or when her father remarries a woman who brings along a child from a previous marriage? Or when her childhood neighbor friend invites her to live with him? Winner of the 38th Kodansha Manga Awards for Best Shoujo.

聲の形, Koe no Katachi
(A Silent Voice)
A story about an elementary student, Shōko Nishimiya, who has impaired hearing. She was bullied by her classmates to the point that she transfers to another school. Resulting to Shouya--one of the bullies to be ostracized and bullied himself. Years later, he sets himself on a path to redemption. Won the 19th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award New Artist Prize.
I'll be going to write a short review for these mangas and post them around this week. So anyway, this is the one I'm currently reading:

So yeah, that's it! I might read one more manga after this or who knows. I hope this one is as good and as great as the mangas I previously read! :)

I've never read a manga before but these look nice. One day I'll take the leap and try to read one for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Anya and the Shy Guy by Suze Winegardner, which is like the fifth novel (I think) in the Backstage Pass series co-written by other fabulous authors. It was a cute read. ;)
