A computer-hacking teen. The girl who wants to save him. And a rogue mirror reflection that might be the death of them both.

In private, seventeen-year-old Brandon hacks bank accounts just for the thrill of it. In public, he looks like any other tattooed bad boy with a fast car and devil-may-care attitude. He should know: he’s worked hard to maintain that façade. With inattentive parents who move constantly from city to city, he’s learned not to get tangled up in things like friends and relationships. So he’ll just keep living like a machine, all gears and wires.

Then two things shatter his carefully-built image: Emma, the kind, stubborn girl who insists on looking beneath the surface – and the small matter of a mirror reflection that starts moving by itself. Not only does Brandon’s reflection have a mind of its own, but it seems to be grooming him for something—washing the dye from his hair, yanking out his piercings, swapping his black shirts for … pastels. Then it tells him: it thinks it can live his life better, and it’s preparing to trade places.

And when it pulls Brandon through the looking-glass, not only will he need all his ill-gotten hacking skills to escape, but he’s going to have to face some hard truths about who he’s become. Otherwise he’ll be stuck in a digital hell until he’s old and gray, and no one will even know he's gone.

I received a print copy of this book from Pinoy Book Tours for a blog tour in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Thanks for lending me a copy! All are my own opinion and is not compensated by any individual, organization, or company. This might contain minor spoilers.

This is fantastic, techy, and scary! Furthermore, it’s very smart and original.

OMG! I super love this book. I seriously could not put it down, no matter how much I needed to. This kind of book—cyberthriller is the genre I am so happy to read. I am so honored to have met this book.

How creepy and scary can it be, when you are the only one who can see that your very own reflection in the mirror is trying to communicate with you? What is worse is when it is trying to trade places with you? Like every single chance it could get, every single moment you are near a mirror, it haunts you? CREEPY! AMAZINGLY CREEPY!

What’s smart about all this is the secret about this phenomenon! The very reason the mirror exists—very great plot foundation! Tell you what, it is so clever that you have to read it or else it won’t be as good if it’s spoiled to you.

But let me drop a little help here, though. This really do resemble THE MATRIX movie. Only, this one is cooler and have modernized ideology of a world with lots of computer codes and apps and bugs—you will really feel like you’re inside a magical techy world. AWESOME!

Those readers who are also computer nerds or those who just love sci-fi/cyber fictions, you’ll freaking love this. Most recommended to you. But seriously, to the rest of the community, come and get this! This will give you one memorable thrill ride! Guaranteed.
