Seventeen-year-old Twylla lives in the castle. But although she’s engaged to the prince, Twylla isn’t exactly a member of the court.
She’s the executioner.
As the Goddess embodied, Twylla instantly kills anyone she touches. Each month she’s taken to the prison and forced to lay her hands on those accused of treason. No one will ever love a girl with murder in her veins. Even the prince, whose royal blood supposedly makes him immune to Twylla’s fatal touch, avoids her company.
But then a new guard arrives, a boy whose easy smile belies his deadly swordsmanship. And unlike the others, he’s able to look past Twylla’s executioner robes and see the girl, not the Goddess. Yet Twylla’s been promised to the prince, and knows what happens to people who cross the queen.
However, a treasonous secret is the least of Twylla’s problems. The queen has a plan to destroy her enemies, a plan that requires a stomach-churning, unthinkable sacrifice. Will Twylla do what it takes to protect her kingdom? Or will she abandon her duty in favor of a doomed love?
I received an arc print copy of this book from Pinoy Book Tours for a blog tour in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Thanks for lending me a copy! All are my own opinion and is not compensated by any individual, organization, or company. This might contain minor spoilers.
The Sin Eater’s Daughter is a story about a lady believed to be a Goddess embodied who in her touch will kill anyone except the Queen, the King and the Prince. But behind this hides a very sick and dark secret that if leaked, will doom the royalty and its kingdom. Destined to be the wife of the Prince, she is faced with a numbers of confusion, temptations, and dreams including her freedom from the castle. An event happened that led her to meet the new assigned guard and possibly the one who will grant all her wishes and answer all her questions.
From the very moment my eyes set on TSED’s book cover, I was enthralled. It was so beautiful that I just have to read it. Before turning the very first pages of the first chapter, I was praying. I was praying and hoping that this would not let me down. Thanks it did not!
All the characters are splendid! I really do like how the author writes their specific roles and personalities. All of them blend really well in the story. I can’t get enough of them. The scenes and the settings, it was so amazing. It was beautifully described. I was totally absorbed in the story. I like how it was so classic sounding. It’s like reading a masterpiece written way centuries back.
The twists are unthinkable. One moment my guess was right then the author will just bombard me with unexpected twists that I never really expected to happen. It was so great. Amazing! I was totally in awe with this. The feels it sent me, it’s stimulating.
It’s definitely my very first favourite for the year 2015! Since PBT just lend it to me for tour purposes; I do not own a copy of it. I will definitely watch out for the book’s official release! I AM GOING TO BUY THE BOOK AND READ IT AGAIN! DEFINITELY!
I recommend it to all of you out there! YOU just HAVE to read it! DARK and INTENSE, you have to feel it!

DeleteThat cover is unreal!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it is the rich and vibrant colours, glass reflections, or the layered elements that make it seem so three-dimensional, but it is amazing.
My goodness, Kristelle, you certainly are excited about this book!
